The Meme: What five things do you miss about your childhood?

Rule #1: Remove the blog at #1 from the following list and bump every one up one place. Add your blog’s name in the #5 spot. Link to each of the other blogs for the desired cross pollination effect.

  1. It’s the End Of The World As We Know It
  2. More Than My Luggage
  3. Welcome to My Truth
  4. The Angel’s Cloud
  5. Compay!

Rule #2: Select new friends to add to the pollen count.

  1. Nicole
  2. AJ
  3. Chelle
  4. Osmany
  5. Reda

Here we go:

  1. I miss coming home after school and lounging till about 7 watching cartoons, sitcoms, and gameshows! Amoungst the cartoons I miss watching: Fraggle Rock, Alvin and The Chipmunks, He-Man, and Thunder Cats. Sitcoms: Different Strokes, Fresh Prince of Bell Air, Threes Company, and Saved By The Bell. Game Shows: I can’t think of any right now, but Jepordy is not one of them…
  2. The Summer Time! Every summer was always different… Hanging out with my friends and riding around on my bike till sun set… At which point I would be punished because I was “hanging out” all day… hehe… My mom never understood… I had one older sister that shared nothing in common with me…
  3. Not for nothing, but I miss helping my neighbors pack newspapers the day before. Sometimes they’d ask my mom for my help becuase I sure as hell didn’t want to go… and you know if Mom said it was “OK” for you to go, your ass had to go… But that was my chance to listen to music, and chit chat with a couple of Costa Rican girls that were twice my age at the time.
  4. I miss sleeping in my parents room during the summer time as well. Since we weren’t fortunate enough to have AC in each and every single room, we had to sleep a few summers in my parents bedroom… hehe… That was one cold room! we would set up our mattress in a corner of the room and it was like a heaven because we would jump from my parents bed to our bed and back… hahahahaha…
  5. Finally but not least, I think I miss those cheesy Grammer School, Middle School, Junior High, and High School Dances we used to have. Those were the good old days. The days that you didn’t have to worry about how bad you danced because everybody was a bad dancer… hehe…
  6. Well there are a few more but then again it’s only asking for five and those were the first five that came to mind… if I could include one more it would be my High School Years where I ran track and field, indoor track, and cross country for four years… A sport that I genuinly love and respect.

Dude, number 1 touched me … Thank god Thundercats and He-Man are coming out on DVD so I can be some what transported to that time. I saw Fraggle Rock on DVD a few months ago and it was really emotional for me and all those presents … Fraggle, Fraggle Rock. And we spent about an hour at work last night discussing SAVED BY THE BELL … Jesse hooked on caffeine pills (“I’M SO EXCITED! I’M SO EXCITED! I’M SO SCARED!) and her everpresent cameltoe, the Snow White Rap episode … we’re having a screening party!
