My take on iBlog Weekend
iBlog Weekend was a total success… there was a great turn out of bloggers and non bloggers who set aside some time to visit the places we scheduled.
My take on the whole thing was more on a personal level then anything else, particularly the visit to Hogar Crea Femenino. My older sister is going through rehab and I could relate to what they were going through indirectly… The visit to La Casa Rosada was the most touching for me. I don’t think the kids know what it is they have and that alone is heart breaking.
I saw a little girl crying at one point during our visit. One of the women who work there asked her why she was crying… The girl simply took a deep breath and stated that her knees were hurting… She then wiped her tears and continued to smile because she knew we were there…
that is priceless…
Hopefully we can plan on getting together during Christmas to bring them toys, laughter, and smiles… anyone else up for the cause?
The group of bloggers who joined me during our visits were very humble and I hope you can participate once again. I know I posted my thanks as well as emailed it out but… here it is again in my language… Thanks!
And finally, I think that the Dominican blogosphere has been taking us for a ride over the last few weeks. It’s time to let it go… some people want to take this way too seriously when in reality it doesn’t need to be… As I’ve stated from the beginning, this is a hobby and continues to be… I can only thank you for being part of the directory and carrying out our objectives as a group instead of one sole person.
I think its safe to say that we all have our own vision even if we never write it down on paper. When you are faced with a decision that does not cater to your vision you will always let it pass by. Consciously or unconsciously, the decisions you make reflect the person you are.
